Füsun Ece Ferah was born in 1977 in Turkey.

She is an architect (2000, Istanbul Technical University) with a masters degree in Restoration (2004, ITU). Since 1999, she worked in many architectural and archaeological surveys and restoration projects. She started her PhD in 2004 and is currently working on her thesis entitled “Protection of Istanbul’s World Heritage against Earthquakes”.

She enrolled the SAHC Masters Course during the 2008/2009 academic year, to have a better understanding on the structural issues concerning historic buildings.

She is working as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Restoration since 2002.
