Jerónimo Botelho was born in 1979 in Oporto, Portugal.
He is a Civil Engineer since August 2002, when he graduated on a 5-year course in the University of Porto (FEUP). He started his professional experience working for one year at a contractor of public constructions. In 2005 he joins a market leader company specialized on the restoration and reinforcement of structures and buildings (STAP), where he worked until 2010, developing construction site management and structural inspection works. Meanwhile, he obtained a Master degree on Buildings Rehabilitation on FEUP (2003-2006), developing his thesis at the University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. He also graduated at the Erasmus-Mundus Advanced Master of Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions (SAHC 2007-2008), studying at the University of Minho (Portugal) and at the University of Padova (Italy).
Since 2010 he works as a Structural Engineer at SOPSEC, where he develops structural design projects on the field of conservation and rehabilitation of existing constructions.
