My interest in the preservation of built heritage from both the architectural and structural point of view, lead me to apply to the SAHC programme seeking out to complete my educational background in order to be able to fulfill my professional goals. The course work as well as the dissertation ended up being priceless experiences set in two incredible cities, involving great professors and classmates.

The experience gained during the past year has provided me with a broad spectrum of useful resources for academic and professional practice related to historical structures, such as my current occupation.

A week after finishing the programme I started working as a preservation engineer at Old Structures Engineering, where I am fortunate to work on a daily basis in preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse projects of historical buildings primarily located in New York City.
