Having completed the SAHC Masters, I can say that it is a great platform to get hands-on experience, build contacts with people working in this field and know about current technology and trends in research in your area of interest. The experience for me was international in every sense of the word – I got to study in two beautiful countries, replete with cultural heritage, I was taught by Professors who were from all over Europe and experts from other parts of the world as well and I had the most amazing set of classmates from all over the globe. The journey was incredible and I have learned so much, both inside and outside of the classroom. I gained a lot from getting acquainted with the advances in NDT, the strengthening and restoration process that is followed in Europe and this is what I will be taking back with me to my country. It gave me a concrete idea about what I want to do in the future and I am currently on my way there – pursuing my doctoral research at the University of Minho.
